It volition depend on the bookish rigour and the examination construction that means it was guaranteed that the results were all your own work. If you got the degree from an institution that covet's its academic reputation, you should exist OK.

Hi there,
I'm currently on a altitude learning master's form, finishing in September. I've been accustomed onto a PhD at another uni (fifty-fifty managed to secure AHRC funding too) starting in October with no issues. I didn't know that the distance-learning thing would be a problem and it was never mentioned by my supervisors or at interview.
As threeportdrift said, the status of your masters institution may help as well.
Proficient luck, I hope information technology all works out in your favour.

Congratulations for securing a place with funding! Your experience makes me very hopeful. I was considering limiting my applications to just PhDs offered on a distance learning or hybrid based models, because of the stigma that I felt is attached to information technology. Glad you shared your story. Thank you again!

Aye, I accept - did my MLitt by Distance, ended upwardly with Stardom, then secured a fully funded PhD studentship on-site. It helped in writing the personal statement for the PhD application that I could write about learning time direction and self-motivation past doing the altitude MLitt while working full-time. Every bit long as your PhD awarding and proposed project are practiced and the masters form suits the project and prepares yous well for information technology, I don't think it really matters if yous did the course on site or by distance.
